Joanie has been a storyteller her entire life. Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, she fell in love with animation and video games, developing a sense of adventure that has led her all over the globe in search of the best stories humanity has to offer.

She has been working professionally in the video game industry for the past two decades, starting out as a game tester and working her way up to the Narrative Designer she is today. She continually seeks out innovative storytelling techniques, hoping to connect deeply with her readers' hearts. Joanie currently resides in Seattle, Washington, with her two cats, Krogan and Kumatora.
